About the event
Step back in time and experience the heart of Appalachian farm life. Begin your visit at the historic Laurel River Club Bed & Breakfast, built in 1905 as the residence of the superintendent of the Laurel River Lumber Company. From there, explore our regenerative educational farm, where you'll meet friendly farm animals, discover the importance of pollinators at our bee hives, and enjoy a fresh seasonal taste of the farm.
Slow down as you take a peaceful walk with our miniature donkeys through rolling fields, forest trails, and beautiful mountain scenery while learning about sustainable farming and the rich traditions of Appalachia. Before you leave, browse our gift shop featuring handcrafted artisan goods, and locally made Appalachian specialties, so you can take a little piece of the mountains home with you.
