Experience Laurel Fork Farm

  Experience West Virginia

Laurel Fork (2) (2).png

Laurel Fork Farm is a 400-acre regenerative educational farm nestled in the mountains of West Virginia, where every field, forest, and woodland serves as a living classroom. Our mission is to demonstrate how agriculture, conservation, and Appalachian traditions can work together to create healthy ecosystems, thriving communities, and unforgettable experiences.

Our farm is home to forest farming, the Mountain Medicine Trail, medicinal herb gardens, a botanical garden, pollinator habitats, beehives, two high tunnels, traditional vegetable gardens, orchards, and abundant wildlife. Through immersive, hands-on experiences, guests explore regenerative agriculture, medicinal plants, soil health, wildlife conservation, and the traditional Appalachian skills that have been passed down through generations. With each changing season, the farm offers new discoveries, from planting and harvesting to observing nature's cycles and connecting with the land in meaningful ways.

The farm is also the heart of our farm-to-table dining experiences. Fresh vegetables, herbs, edible flowers, fruits, mushrooms, and other seasonal ingredients are harvested from our gardens and forests to create meals that celebrate the flavors of Appalachia. Guests of Laurel River Club Bed & Breakfast enjoy breakfasts inspired by the farm, while our seasonal farm-to-table dinners provide an intimate, chef-inspired experience showcasing the freshest ingredients available.

Just as important as what we grow is who we grow alongside. While we produce a wide variety of foods, herbs, and specialty crops, we believe no one farm should do it all. When an ingredient isn't available on our farm, we proudly source it from neighboring West Virginia farmers, beekeepers, artisans, and food producers who share our commitment to quality and stewardship. By supporting one another, we strengthen local agriculture, encourage new farmers and entrepreneurs, and help build a resilient local food economy where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

Our goal has never been simply to grow food, it is to cultivate community. We believe every local farm, every small business, and every artisan adds something unique to the landscape. By working together rather than competing, we create an ecosystem where visitors enjoy the very best West Virginia has to offer while helping preserve our agricultural heritage for generations to come.

Whether you're walking the Mountain Medicine Trail, exploring our gardens and forests, meeting the animals, harvesting fresh ingredients, or gathering around the table for a memorable meal, Laurel Fork Farm invites you to reconnect with nature, experience authentic Appalachian hospitality, and become part of a community rooted in stewardship, education, and hope.

Farm-to-Table Dining

Our seasonal farm-to-table dinners are intentionally intimate, allowing guests to enjoy an exclusive culinary experience where every thoughtfully prepared course celebrates the freshest ingredients the season has to offer. Surrounded by the beauty of the farm, guests don't simply enjoy a meal, they experience the journey of their food, from the gardens, forests, and fields to the table.

Each dinner tells the story of the season, the land, and the people who steward it. While many ingredients are harvested just steps from the kitchen at Laurel Fork Farm, others are thoughtfully sourced from neighboring West Virginia farms, beekeepers, and artisans who share our commitment to quality, sustainability, and community. We believe the best meals are created through collaboration, and every plate reflects our passion for supporting local agriculture, encouraging new farmers, and celebrating the incredible diversity of food grown throughout the Mountain State.

No two dinners are exactly alike. Each menu is inspired by what is growing, blooming, and ready to harvest, making every gathering a unique celebration of the land, the season, and the hardworking people who make it all possible.
